Stormhold PVE progression server group discussion

Hi all

I am not sure how many of you are going to try your hand at old school EQ2?
I was there when the first servers launched and thought it would be good to try the old world for our good friend Ogrebot by our side.

So without further ado let talk about the first thing the forums always talk about, Group Makeup.
As expansions and levels had come and gone certain classes became more and or less sought after.

What do we know thus far about the new Server restrictions.
[*]Beastlords and Channlers will not be unlocked. <This was a fairly new comment>[*]
[*]Max level 50 with no AA's[*]
[*]Starting zones are Frostfang and Darklight[*]

Just to kick off the discussions about which grp design would work best for the new server i have been looking at
Guard / Ranger / Dirge / Coercer / Warden / Mystic

It is a fairly standard safe tank group.
Wanted to step away from Brigand and Defiler and swap for Ranger and Mystic to see how they perform.
Also Guard is the a very solid tank, but i do recall when the game launched paladins were very good.

Any idea's or thoughts are appreciated.

doing the LaDs i see conj destroying the parses at the lower levels im wondering if a mage group would be the way to go
